Brand description

The company was founded by Konosuke Matsushita in 1918 in Osaka, Japan. Initially, the company consisted of three people. In 1935, it was transformed into a corporation. In 1986, the Panasonic headquarters were opened in Moscow. On December 11, 1995, the Panasonic (WNP) sales office was opened in Moscow. In 2004, three subsidiaries were established: Panasonic CIS, Panasonic Rusi, Panasonic Soljushn Inzhenirynh Rusi. On January 10, 2008, Matsushita announced that he intended to change the company's name to Panasonic Corporation. The application for the name change was approved at the company's annual shareholders' meeting on June 26, and the name came into effect on October 1, 2008. Currently, the company employs about 260 thousand people worldwide, making it one of the largest employers in the industry.
